In order to ensure quality work, the team of the Armedika polyclinic is supplemented by new specialists. One of them is psychiatrist Eglė Balčiūtė, who started work in July. The doctor gained clinical work experience and theoretical knowledge and carried out scientific activities while studying at LSMU Psychiatry Residency, gained experience both in the ambulatory circuit and in inpatients of various profiles (acute psychiatry, crisis/borderline states, addiction diseases, psychotherapy).
“Recently, I am mainly interested in the treatment of mental disorders and addictions caused by psychoactive substances, dementias and other mental disorders of organic origin, treatment of neurotic, affective, psychotic disorders,” said psychiatrist Eglė Balčiūtė. The doctor emphasizes that one of the priorities in a doctor’s work is a complex approach to human problems.
“In my work, I combine constantly deepening knowledge based on scientific evidence with sincere care and respect for each individual’s individuality. I consider a complex approach to human problems a priority and I believe that the best tactic is the one we choose in cooperation with the patient,” said the doctor.
At the Armedika Polyclinic, psychiatrists provide individual consultations, assess the patient’s mental state, diagnose various mental disorders, create a treatment plan, prescribe medications for mental disorders A medical psychologist and a professional team of mental health nurses also provide services at Armedika, whose goal is to help the patient in a timely manner when faced with various conditions or challenges.
