At the Armedika clinic, health check-ups are performed for children of all ages, as well as registered and non-registered patients.

2.1. For newborns - from birth to 28 days of age;
2.2. For babies - from 28 days of age to 1 year of age;
2.3. For children of early age - from 1 to 4 years of age;
2.4. For middle-aged children - from 4 to 10 years old;
2.5. For teenagers - from 10 to 18 years of age.

Preventive check-ups for children and adult students are carried out in accordance with the health check-up requirements stipulated in the Order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Lithuania "On Preventive Health Check-ups in Health Care Institutions" (31.05.2000, No. 301).

Health checks of children and adult students are performed by a family doctor, a pediatrician. Immunoprophylaxis is carried out according to the preventive vaccination calendar for children of the Republic of Lithuania, approved by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania in 2014. February 27 by order no. V-283 "On approval of the preventive vaccination calendar for children of the Republic of Lithuania".

Preventive health checks are also performed to obtain various health certificates.

If you have a fever, feel unwell, or think that you will need sick leave or a family doctor's consultation, in order to ensure quality services, please contact the reception in the first half of the day.

Consultations of the family doctor when incapacity for work is required are carried out only live! You will be assigned a time for the visit, and the family doctor will be able to properly assess your health condition, prescribe the necessary tests, treatment and organize the necessary documents.

Some patients go to the treatment facility at the end of work, so we cannot guarantee that you will receive a doctor's consultation on the same day.

If it happened that emergency help was needed after the family doctor's working hours or on the weekend, you can call an ambulance or go to the emergency department.

Erkinis encefalitas (EE) – tai sunki gamtinė židininė virusinė liga, sukeliama erkinio encefalito viruso (EEV), pažeidžianti galvos smegenis, jų dangalus ar periferinius nervus. EE yra viena iš svarbiausių virusinių žmogaus centrinės nervų sistemos infekcijų, kuriai būdingi liekamieji reiškiniai, kartais sukeliantys neįgalumą.

Symptoms of tick-borne encephalitis

The incubation period for EE is 2-28 days, with an average of 7-14 days. In approximately 80% of cases, the course of the disease is two-wave. The clinic of the first phase of the disease, which lasts 1-8 days, is caused by the first wave of viremia. Its signs are non-specific: fever, bone, muscle, headache, fatigue, general weakness, less often - signs of dyspepsia or upper respiratory tract catarrh. Characteristic laboratory signs of the first wave of EE are leukopenia and thrombocytopenia. They are caused by the dissemination of EEV during the first wave to the bone marrow and the resulting short-term bone marrow suppression, which is manifested by a decrease in the amount of the shortest-lived form elements in the peripheral blood. There may be a slight increase in the activity of liver enzymes in the blood.

Clinical information of adult vaccine TicoVac

TicoVac 0.5 ml is intended for active (prophylactic) immunization against tick-borne encephalitis (EE) in persons aged 16 years and older. TicoVac 0.5 ml is given according to official recommendations, taking into account the need for vaccination against tick-borne encephalitis and the timing of vaccination.

Clinical information of the children's vaccine TicoVac

TicoVac 0.25 ml is intended for active (prophylactic) immunization against tick-borne encephalitis (EE) in children aged 1-15 years. TicoVac 0.25 ml is given according to official recommendations, taking into account the need for vaccination against tick-borne encephalitis and the timing of vaccination.

Dosage for adults

The basic vaccination plan is the same for all persons aged 16 years and over and consists of three doses of TicoVac 0.5 ml:

• The first and second doses are given 1 to 3 months apart.
• If a faster immune response is needed, the second dose can be given two weeks after the first dose. After the first two doses, adequate protection against ticks is produced during the active tick season.
• The third dose should be given 5 to 12 months after the second dose.
• After the third dose of the vaccine, protection is likely to last for at least 3 years.
• In order to build immunity before the active season of ticks, which begins in the spring, the first and second doses should be administered during the winter months. Ideally, vaccination should be completed with the third dose during the same tick season or at least before the start of a new tick season.

The vaccine is injected into the muscle of the upper arm (deltoid muscle). Only in exceptional cases can the vaccine be given under the skin.

Possible side effects

Vaccines can cause adverse reactions, but they are not serious, on the contrary, they are often short-lived. Mild side effects may include redness or swelling at the injection site, mild fever, pain in the limb where the vaccine was injected, and more.

Influenza is an acute respiratory infection spread by airborne droplets. You can get infected from a sick person. Influenza infection can often cause serious complications and sometimes death. Influenza vaccine is recommended to be vaccinated every year, because the strains of the flu virus change every year. The coronavirus also spreads through the air through droplets of respiratory tract secretions and can cause serious complications. Vaccinations are the most effective means of preventing influenza and its complications.

We provide the vaccine for Covid-19 infection for free. Patients in the risk group are invited to get a FREE flu shot.

5.  Primary ambulatory personal health care for the insured is provided in accordance with the 2005 Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania. December 5 order no. V-943 "On the description of the organization and payment procedure of primary ambulatory personal health care services and the approval of the list of basic prices of primary ambulatory personal health care services" and 2005 of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania. December 22 order no. V-1013 "On the approval of the Lithuanian medical norm MN 14:2005 "Family doctor. Rights, duties, competence and responsibility".
6.  The scope and order of services provided by other primary ambulatory personal health care doctors and level II medical specialists are specified in the medical norms and disease diagnosis and treatment methodologies approved by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Lithuania.
7.  Other free services:

• dental prosthetics services. The procedure and amount of the reimbursed service is determined by the Order of the Republic of Lithuania No. V-890 of 2005 on the provision of dental prosthetics services and reimbursement of expenses from the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund (Journal of Laws, No. 140-5047; 2009, No. 112-4784). The following persons insured with compulsory health insurance have the right to dental prosthetics, the costs of which are reimbursed from the PSDF budget: a) persons who have reached the retirement age; b) persons recognized as unemployable or partially employable (10-25% level of employability); (c) children.

• Newborn 1 time in 3 working days from your notification of departure from the maternity unit:
  • will be visited and examined by a doctor or nurse;
  • will advise on newborn care, hygiene (especially skin, bamboo), breastfeeding, mother's nutrition;
• Further examination of the child (1-2 times a month) is carried out at the polyclinic:
  • The doctor assesses the health status of the newborn;
  • The nurse assesses the quality of care of the newborn, informs about immunoprophylaxis, vaccination calendar, order and time of follow-up visits;

• Children up to 18 years old the state insures with compulsory health insurance (PSD), so there is no need to pay for the services provided to the child in a medical institution, it is paid for by the health insurance fund with the funds of the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund (PSDF).
• For examinations, the performance of which is not paid for by PSDF funds, but the child's parents request them, you have to pay for them yourself.

After the death of a patient who was registered at Poliklinika Armedikas, a death certificate is issued to the relatives and friends upon presentation of their and the deceased person's identity documents.

The doctor fills out the electronic Medical Death Certificate, confirms the printed copy with his seal, signature, and the seal of the institution and gives it to the relatives of the deceased.

The medical death certificate is registered in the electronic journal of Medical Death Certificates and is signed by the relatives of the deceased.

After issuing the Medical Death Certificate, the doctor informs the relatives of the deceased about the obligation to return the identity card/passport of the deceased person to the territorial police office, when they do not have a place of residence, to the civil registry office of the place of death of the person.
In the event of a malfunction of the electronic system, only a paper medical death certificate is issued, the relatives of the deceased sign the root of this document, which remains in the medical institution and is stored for 25 years.
